La Naturaleza de la Mente: Contemplar Kadag y Lhundrub en la Vida Cotidiana

Share this teaching:

Instrucciones esenciales sobre el reconocimiento del estado natural más allá de la elaboración conceptual y el reposo en la pureza primordial.

In the philosophical and practical architecture of Dzogchen, the supreme vehicle of Atiyoga, the primordial nature of mind is understood as the indivisible unity of Kadag (primordial purity) and Lhun grub (spontaneous presence). To recognize this ground is to discover that awareness has never been stained by transitory thoughts or afflictive emotions.

Beyond Effort and Contrivance

As taught by the omniscient master Longchen Rabjam, meditation in the Great Perfection is not a fabricated state of concentration manufactured by mental effort. It is the effortless resting in self-arisen, unconditioned awareness (Rigpa). When thoughts arise—whether turbulent or peaceful—the practitioner neither pursues them with attachment nor suppresses them with aversion. Like drawings made on water, appearances dissolve in the very moment of their arising.

In our modern daily routines, cultivating this recognition transforms everyday perception into the display of the primordial ground. By returning gently to the natural state throughout the day, the practitioner anchors their life in unconditional serenity and boundless compassion for all sentient beings.
